Welcome to the Pontiac Archives
Welcome to the new web site of the Pontiac Archives, a private archives based in Shawville, Quebec and housed in the Shawville-Clarendon Library, in space generously provided by the municipalities of Shawville and Clarendon.
If you’re new to this site, let me take a moment to show you around. On the sidebar on the right-hand side of this page, you’ll find links to pages about us — including a brief history and our holdings — along with links to other web sites you might find interesting.
In this space, you’ll find updates, announcements and news about the Archives, written by its volunteers.
This site is just getting started, so there isn’t much to see right now. Its design and appearance will almost certainly change, and there will certainly be more to come.

Hello Ladies:
Another year of my missing open house and I really miss it. The new web site is going to be great. I wish more people would come forward with their stories of “the old days”. We have a rich heritage full of great Irish and Scots humour and strength. I’m looking forward to your future projects and will contribute what I can. Keep up the good work and the best of luck with everything.
Hope to see you all soon.
