Open house week and donation of Certificate

The Pontiac Archives is open to the public at no charge. The only charge is for photocopies, and scans if you do the research yourself. Volunteers are available to provide you with the material on file.

If you choose to email the Archives and ask for volunteers to do some hours of research on your behalf, the charge is first 1/2 hour of preliminary research is free of charge. Then it is $20.00 per hour, plus costs of shipping.

Open House began today. Hours – Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 9 am – 4 pm. Genealogist Walter Brown will be here for the week to help visitors with their family genealogy.

New addition on file is a 1909 Stationary Engineer’s and Fireman’s Certificate, by the inspector of Boilers, James Ray, # 2568.

New brochure is completed listing a sample of the on-site family trees, Key Elements of Cultural Diversity, Heritage Collections and important contact information.
